The Purpose-Driven Life [v59]

GOT PURPOSE?—Sorry for being a bit late this month, but I hope you feel it was ‘worth the wait’ when you take a look at what I have been working on.

As I had mentioned to you the last few ‘issues’, I was involved with a “campaign” based on the book, “The Purpose-Driven Life.”

The link below is a web site I developed that summarizes each chapter, each week, and the entire book. It also allows you to listen to the video that was presented in the “home discussion groups” each week, and a song that I selected for its relative message. There is also an area dedicated to supplemental information not contained in the book.

I hope you will spend a bit of time ‘browsing’ around to get the jest of what is available, and really hope you ‘carve’ out some time in your schedule to read a chapter per day, for the next 40 days—it will take 5-10 minutes, tops! Maybe even ‘invite’ a friend or colleague to go through it with you so you both can have someone to ‘bounce’ questions off of—your life is worth taking the small amount of time to think about these things!

Also, if you think someone else may benefit from viewing this material, feel free to send the link to them.

Finally, I would be honored to be of any help to anyone that would like to discuss this material further—it really ‘cinched’ things for me!

(Note: Any comments and/or suggestions to make this ‘tool’ more valuable would be appreciated.)

[Excerpts from: Rick Warren]

[NOTE: I have start a “small discussion group” that meets at my home every 2nd and 4th Monday from 7 PM-9 PM. We will be looking at a book that discusses the 12 most asked question about God, titled “I’m Glad You Asked.” We just had our first meeting and have room for some others to join us. Contact me if you are interested in participating.]

If you have a ‘neat’ story or some thoughts about an issue or current event that you would like me to try to respond to, I would be glad to give it a try…so, send them to me at:

There is no life so empty as a self-centered life and there is no life so centered as a self-emptied life.
[Jack Hyles]

To change your life, you must change the way you think. Every behavior is motivated by a belief, and every action is prompted by an attitude.
[Rick Warren]

Hope you enjoyed some of these insights—share them with your friends and colleagues—so we can have a larger ‘pool’ to receive from, and more to share with!  Also, remember to include your name as the “source,” if some of this wisdom is of your doing—I would like to give credit where credit is due!

“A life devoted to things is a dead life, a stump; a God-shaped life is a flourishing tree”  [Proverbs 11:28].

Disclaimer: All the above jokes & inspirations are obtained from various sources and copyright are used when known. Other than our name and headers, we do not own the copyright to any of the materials sent to this list. We just want to spread the ministry of God’s love and cheerfulness throughout the world.
